4 people rescued after car crashes into apartment building in Germantown

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Four people were rescued after a car slammed into an apartment building in Germantown early Sunday morning.

It happened around 3:30 a.m. on the 3000 block of Germantown Avenue.

Officials say a Nissan Maxima crashed into the building, trapping the occupants inside.

All four were extricated and taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

No one was inside the apartment at the time of the crash.

City officials have deemed the building unsafe, and the cause of the crash is under investigation.
