TSA temporarily closes Terminal C security checkpoint at Philadelphia International Airport

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — The Transportation Security Administration temporarily closed the security checkpoint in Terminal C at Philadelphia International Airport on Thursday.

The agency is sending its employees to other terminal checkpoints to help them move faster.

Wait times have spiked due to the partial shutdown of the Department of Homeland Security, which oversees the TSA.

TSA PreCheck lanes remain open in Terminal A East and at Terminals D and E.

All PHL terminals are connected past security.
