Timothée Chalamet Reacts to Conan O’Brien’s Dig at His Ballet, Opera Comments at Oscars 2026
Fran Drescher isn’t dancing around Timothée Chalamet’s controversial comments.
The Nanny alum addressed her Marty Supreme costar’s recent remarks about ballet and opera as she walked the red carpet at the Elton John AIDS Foundation’s 2026 Oscars viewing party, theorizing that he may not have meant his words the way they were received.
“I actually find him to be a very sweet and kind person, so I think that maybe he got a little too relaxed and maybe spoke out of turn,” she exclusively told E! News at the March 15 event. “He comes from a family of artists and he’s been exposed to fine arts his whole life, so I really don’t think, knowing him, that he meant for it to be received the way it did.”
By the same token, Fran, 68, hoped the controversy would be a teachable moment for the 30-year-old on navigating life in the public eye.
