PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — The court inside the Xfinity Mobile Arena in South Philadelphia will soon be where victories are celebrated and dreams are crushed as the city prepares to host the first two rounds of the 2026 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship.

It’s win or go home for teams who are vying to make it to the next round of March Madness.

There will be four games on Friday for the first-round.

Virginia (3) will take on Wright State (14) at 1:50 p.m., followed by Tennessee (6) vs. either Miami (Ohio) or SMU at 4:25 p.m., UCLA (7) vs. UCF (10) at 7:25 p.m. and UConn (2) will play Furman (15) at 10 p.m.

You can buy tickets to individual games or purchase a two-game bundle, which can be broken up between rounds one and two.

The winners of Friday’s games will determine the second round of matchups on Sunday.

Winners of the second round will then advance to the Sweet 16.

This is the first of several major sporting events that will be held in the Philadelphia region over the next several months, including the PGA Championship, the FIFA World Cup, and the MLB All Star Game.

Four schools in the Delaware Valley will have teams competing in the NCAA tournament in other cities.

Local teams include University of Pennsylvania’s men’s team, Villanova’s women’s and men’s teams, Lehigh University’s men’s team, and Princeton’s women’s team.
