ALLENTOWN, Pa. (WPVI) — An Allentown man will spend decades in prison for his role in a mass shooting that injured six people near a Dominican Festival.

Yunior Peralta-Quintana, 23, was sentenced Thursday to 40 to 80 years in state prison.

In January, he was convicted of attempted murder, three counts of aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person and additional offenses.

Police say Peralta-Quintana exchanged gunfire with a second suspect, Miguel Angel Ovalles Ubri, on the 100 block of North 7th Street on August 25, 2024.

Investigators said officers arrived to find the two men still shooting at each other.

Two officers fired during the incident, but authorities said none of the injured victims were struck by police gunfire. No officers were hurt.
