Man taken into custody following barricade situation in Havertown

HAVERTOWN, Pa. (WPVI) — SWAT teams surrounded a home Saturday night in Havertown, Delaware County.

Police responded to the house near Meadowbrook Avenue and East Township Line Road around 5:30 p.m.

Action News has learned the situation began as an argument between a brother and sister.

The woman was able to escape and call police, telling them her brother had a weapon.

Authorities also discovered he had active warrants for his arrest.

He was eventually taken into custody.
