Smoke rises over Rt. 195 due to wildfire in Jackson Township, NJ

JACKSON TWP., N.J. (WPVI) — The New Jersey Forest Fire Service is on the scene of a wildfire in Ocean County.

Flames broke out Monday afternoon along Route 195 near mile marker 25 in Jackson Township.

Video from a nearby traffic camera shows smoke billowing into the air.

Crews have not released information on the size of the fire, and officials have not said what may have sparked it.

Westbound Route 195 is closed between mile markers 20 and 25 as firefighters work to bring the blaze under control.
