Man in SUV among 2 shot in Philadelphia’s East Falls neighborhood

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Philadelphia police are investigating a shooting that injured two men Friday night in the East Falls section of the city.

The shooting happened around 8:11 p.m. near Roberts Avenue and Fox Street.

Investigators say officers found one victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the head inside a Kia SUV. Police believe the shooter may have fired from another vehicle.

A second person was also struck by gunfire. That victim told police they were walking nearby at the time of the shooting, though authorities said they have not been able to verify those claims.

Both victims are 23 years old. There was no immediate word on their conditions.

Police recovered a weapon from inside the Kia but said it was unclear whether it was used in the shooting.

No arrests have been announced.
