WILLIAMSTOWN, N.J. (WPVI) — Viewers of Action News Mornings know that our Matt Pellman famously keeps us informed as to what “national” day is celebrated on any given day.
On April 2, Matt mentioned that it was “National Ride Your Horse to a Bar Day”, and some Action News viewers took it seriously.
Shane Jarrett of Williamstown, New Jersey, took full advantage of the day.
He and his wife trotted over to the Mill Tavern in Franklinville, about three miles away from the American Ride Stables, the farm they own and board horses.
They, of course, took their horse “Dodge” along for the ride.
“We tie them up, we sit outside with them, have some lunch. Everybody comes out and pets them, things like that. We just hang out. It takes about half hour to get there, so it’s a nice ride,” Jarret said.
Other people around the country have also posted videos of themselves riding a horse to a bar.
