13-year-old hospitalized after being rescued from Schuylkill River

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — First responders rescued a 13-year-old boy from the Schuylkill River after he got into trouble in the water.

The incident happened around 5:30 p.m. Saturday near Temple University’s Boathouse on the 2400 block of Kelly Drive.

The boy was pulled from the river and taken to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, where he is expected to be okay.
