West Philadelphia shooting leaves 1 dead, 2 injured at 60th and Market Street

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — One person was killed and two others were injured in a shooting Tuesday evening in West Philadelphia.

The gunfire erupted around 6:20 p.m. near 60th and Market streets, police said.

Officers found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound at the scene. She was rushed to an area hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

Two additional victims – a man and a woman – were also taken to the hospital. Both were reported to be in stable condition.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation.

No arrests have been announced.
