Water main break creates icy road conditions in Pottstown, Pennsylvania

POTTSTOWN, Pa. (WPVI) — A water main break in Montgomery County is creating some potentially dangerous road conditions on Friday morning.

It started around 5 a.m. near the intersection of High and Hanover Streets in Pottstown.

Chopper 6 was above the scene as water gushed from the ground.

With the area’s freezing conditions, there is concern about all that water turning to ice in these bitter cold temperatures.

Traffic is blocked off along North York, High, and King streets as crews work to repair the leak.
