TOWAMENCIN TWP., Pa. (WPVI) — Students in at least two high schools in our area organized anti-ICE demonstrations on Friday.
Chopper 6 was over North Penn High School in Towamencin Township, Montgomery County, as students carrying signs walked out of class at noon.
School officials said they recognize the importance of the right to free speech, but cautioned that this event was not school-sponsored due to safety concerns.
Students who took part will be marked as skipping class.
A similar event happened at Phoenixville Area High School in Chester County.

We have not heard from school officials about whether students will face discipline for taking part.
Action News was there for a similar demonstration at Upper Darby High School in Delaware County on Thursday.
