Five injured in Wilmington house fire

WILMINGTON, Del. – Several people, including two firefighters, were injured during a house fire in Wilmington Tuesday afternoon.

Crews were called to the 400 block of West 29th Street just before 2 p.m. Fire officials say the flames spread and caused damage to a neighboring home.

Two people who were inside the house were taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation. Two firefighters were also treated for burn injuries.

All four patients are listed in stable condition.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
