CHESTER, Pa. (WPVI) — Tenth-grade students from Mastery Schools’ Hardy Williams High School had a chance to pitch their ideas to a local business leader on Tuesday.
The “Shark Tank” style event was designed to inspire a new generation of entrepreneurs.
The students went to Widener University to meet with Jay Sidhu, who is the Executive Chairman of Customers Bancorp.
Sidhu shared lessons from his upbringing in India and his path to success in the banking industry.
The kids were asked to pitch a business that they could start with a bike and a small sum of money.
