CAMDEN, NJ (WPVI) — A Celebration of Life will be held today for the Camden firefighter killed on the job.
Howard Bennett, 61, died last Thursday after he fell into the icy waters of the Delaware River.
Officials say he was doing a routine maintenance check of a fire boat at the time.
A private viewing for family and friends is set for this morning.
A public service will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Freedom Mortgage Pavilion in Camden.
New Jersey Governor Mikie Sherrill has ordered flags in the state be flown at half-staff in his honor.
