Temple University Hospital marks 10th annual event to raise heart failure awareness

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Doctors and staff at Temple University Hospital highlighted the importance of heart failure awareness during the 10th annual event held Friday at the Temple Heart & Vascular Institute.

Patients and caregivers took part in handson CPR training and watched a hearthealthy cooking demonstration.

Organizers also offered laughter yoga, an activity they said can help reduce stress on the heart in an enjoyable way.

Temple officials noted that about 6.5 million Americans are affected by heart failure.
