PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania (WPVI) — This Valentine’s Day, Reading Terminal Market was a hotspot for couples to get a cannoli, get a cheesesteak… or perhaps even get married.
The event known as ‘Married at the Market’ began last year and was spearheaded by Chef Beth Esposito, who owns Chef Beth’s Kitchen within the marketplace.
Esposito officiated the ceremony, and enjoyed help from various other vendors to bring all the pieces together.
The venue was sentimental for Daysi Morales, whose late father once worked there as a security guard.
She and her husband, David Skillman, were one couple among seven who tied the knot in the group ceremony today.
Last year’s event created an influx of applications, but only a handful were lucky enough to participate.
