UPPER MERION TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WPVI) — Police have identified the teenager who died in a crash following a pursuit over the weekend in Upper Merion Township.
According to state police, Zachery Carbo, 18, of Norristown, was killed in the wreck on Route 422 near Lewis Road just after midnight on Saturday.
Investigators say the incident started with troopers attempting to stop Carbo for reported traffic violations. Police say the vehicle was reported stolen out of West Norriton Township.
Carbo allegedly fled officers, and a chase ensued.
At some point, the vehicle crashed into a concrete barrier near Rt. 422 and Rt. 202 in Upper Merion Township, killing Carbo and injuring three passengers, including two 19-year-olds and a 20-year-old.
The conditions of the passengers have not been released.
No charges have been filed, according to investigators.
