CAMDEN COUNTY, New Jersey (WPVI) — Today, community members hit the lanes of 30 Strikes Lanes to support a good cause.

Animal Welfare Association held their annual “Pins for Purrs” event, raising money for over 1,000 cats they expect to serve this year.

“One of the reasons we have this event now in February is because we are getting really close to the start of kitten season. In March through…about October, that’s when all the stray kittens are going to come into rescues, in shelters,” said Laura Houston, Executive Director of animal Welfare Association.

“We can’t do our job…without the support of this community and to see how many people love and embrace our organization, it means the world,” said Houston.
