The enslaved lives behind the President's House controversy

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — As the legal fight over the controversial removal of plaques commemorating slavery at the President’s House continues, we’re taking a closer look at the site’s history.

At the center of the debate are the nine enslaved men and women who were held at the first White House by George Washington.
