Kyle Fraser has bounced back after his early exit from Survivor 50

Indeed, the season 48 winner offered an update on his health after viewers watched him tear his Achilles tendon, promoting an emotional exit during the premiere on Feb. 25.

“I got surgery that week,” Kyle said during an Feb. 26 interview alongside fellow eliminated contestant Jenna Lewis-Dougherty on CBS Mornings. “I’m running [as of] three weeks ago so we’re still recovering. So, we’re on the up and up.”

“It’s tough, because two weeks earlier, I won,” he added. “The whole world got to see me win a million dollars and then to tear your Achilles two weeks later—and know that I get pulled from the game only four days in, it was heartbreaking.”

Kyle put his teamwork on display during the immunity challenge as he assisted his tribe members up a structure before suffering his injury. Though his tribe came out victorious, Jeff Probst and Dr. Joe made the call to medically evacuate him. A decision that brought him to tears.
