GLOUCESTER CITY, New Jersey (WPVI) — Today, hundreds hit the streets of Gloucester City to celebrate Irish culture.
The Gloucester City Irish Society Pipes and Drums gathered to share their sounds at the annual St. Patrick’s Parade.
“What we’re most proud of is that we offer free bagpipe and drum lessons every week to anyone who’s interested…We’re really happy to get you started,” said Nick Wright, Founder of the Gloucester City Irish Society Pipes and Drums.
“I think the coolest thing about this whole thing is the people that we were able to bring together…But it is also important to remember who we are and embrace the real rich Irish history that we have in Gloucester City as well,” he continued.
