RIDLEY TWP., Pa. (WPVI) — Pennsylvania State Police say they found 40 pounds of marijuana during a recent traffic stop on I-95 in Delaware County.
Troopers pulled the vehicle over on Feb. 26 in Ridley Township. Police said several indicators of criminal activity prompted K-9 Ivan to conduct a sniff of the vehicle.
Ivan detected the scent of drugs, and during a subsequent search, investigators found approximately 40 pounds of marijuana packed inside boxes and buckets. Troopers also recovered $6,000 in cash.
The driver was arrested and charged with felony possession with intent to deliver narcotics, along with related misdemeanor and summary traffic offenses.
