Pennsbury Manor celebrates 345 years of Pennsylvania

BUCKS COUNTY, Pennsylvania (WPVI) — The history of Pennsylvania was on full display this afternoon at Pennsbury Manor.

“Today, we’re celebrating the 345th birthday of Pennsylvania. We mark it when William Penn gets the charter… from King Charles II to establish his own colony here in what will become Pennsylvania. It would have been 1681,” said Douglas Miller, Historic Site Administrator at Pennsbury Manor.

Their volunteers dressed in their best 17th century outfits to share stories with guests.

All of this was open to guests on free admission on this day.
