Nine firefighters were injured while battling a 2-alarm blaze in Philadelphia’s Wynnefield neighborhood on Monday night.

Deputy Commissioner Joshua McGuoirk said earlier this week that the outcome could have been far worse.

“One could say it’s a miracle. Other people could say they fall back on their training – and the training that we have for firefighters in the city of Philadelphia is topnotch,” McGuoirk said.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
