Below-freezing temps turn Wildwood beach into ‘ice skating rink’

WILDWOOD, N.J. (WPVI) — The Philadelphia region continues to see a stretch of below-freezing temperatures this week.

It’s been so cold that people are even ice skating on the beach down at the Jersey Shore.

On Wednesday, Hanna Augustyn got to work on her skating form with Wildwood’s iconic roller coaster as the backdrop.

And Brandon Hurd brought out the hockey stick and puck for his morning skate.

There’s still time to get out there, too. Saturday morning may be the coldest day of the weekend before temperatures rise above
freezing next week.
