Central Bucks administrator’s firing upheld by state officials

DOYLESTOWN, Pa. (WPVI) — The Pennsylvania Department of Education has upheld the firing of a Central Bucks School District administrator.

Alyssa Wright was terminated last August for her handling of alleged child abuse inside a special needs classroom at Jamison Elementary School in 2024.

Wright was employed as the director of pupil services for the district and was fired for allegedly failing to properly report the abuse.

She appealed to the board of education, which found her firing legally justified.

Former superintendent Stephen Yanni and Jamison Elementary School principal David Heineman were also let go as a result of the investigation.
