PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania (WPVI) — It’s a little something sweet for those who stand on the front lines.

In over a decade, the ‘Cookies for Cops’ campaign has grown from a few trays of cookies to a conglomerate of countless confections.

It’s all organized by the Philadelphia Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #5 Auxiliary, led by president Donna Giulian.

This year, 18 local bakeries donated heaping pounds of cookies. To give back, the FOP purchased an amount that matched each business’ donation.

Their goal is to distribute cookie trays to every police district across the city between today and Monday.

Apart from cookie donations, the Philadelphia Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #5 is known for supporting families of injured or fallen police officers.
