PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Easter Sunday also marks the start of Dine Latino Restaurant Week in Philadelphia, with more than 25 participating partners offering specials on Latin cuisine.

Now in its ninth year, the Greater Philadelphia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is hosting the week-long event, which aims to boost sales for Latin-owned businesses across the region.

The offerings range from plant-based dishes at Bar Bon Bon in Center City to Nicaraguan flavors at Café Duskaia along South 9th Street in the Italian Market.

Central American cuisine is also on display at El Merkury in Center City, where the menu includes stuffed pupusas topped with salsa, pickled onions, and pickled cabbage.

The event extends beyond food.

Queen and Rook Game Cafe is among the participating businesses.

“We are a board game cafe with 2,000 games, with wood-fired pizza. Anything we can do to get the word out is always something we appreciate,” said Edward Garcia of Queen and Rook.

Dine Latino Restaurant Week runs through April 11, offering diners a chance to explore a variety of culinary options with free appetizers or desserts and special menus.
