Eastern University breaks ground on new gym in Delaware County

ST. DAVIDS, Pa. (WPVI) — Eastern University in Delaware County is expanding its athletics facilities.

On Wednesday, the school broke ground on a new 50-thousand square foot gym.

The construction is expected to take about 18-months to complete.

The expanded athletics complex will feature state-of-the art training, recruitment and team meeting spaces to the campus.

The new building will also include a welcoming two-story athletics lobby and atrium honoring the legacy of Eastern athletics, which is a Division III school.
