EASTON, Pa. (WPVI) — Firefighters battled a raging fire that burned through a multi-story building on Friday.
It happened along the 400 block of Northampton Street in Easton, Pa.
Authorities say a third alarm was struck after the fire first broke out around 10:45 a.m.
Firefighters say when they arrived, several people were hanging from windows, trying to escape the smoke.
We’ve learned that one firefighter and three people were injured. There was no word on their conditions.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, but officials say it started in the basement.
Authorities say it could take months to repair the damage.
