PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — For the fifth year in a row, Reading Terminal Market is in the running for USA Today’s “10 Best” title of “Best Public Market in America.”
It secured the top spot in 2021 and 2022, and it’s hoping to get enough votes to win again this year. Reading Terminal Market is home to more than 75 small, family-owned businesses, welcoming more than 5 million visitors in 2025 alone.
It’s up against nominees like Boston Public Market, and Pike Place Market in Seattle.
“We would love the public’s support in achieving the USA Today 10 Best recognition once again,” said Annie Allman, CEO and General Manager, Reading Terminal Market. “Reading Terminal Market has been feeding the heart and soul of Philadelphia for 133 years and national accolades like this help showcase the critical work our small, family-owned businesses are doing to fuel the economy and provide a diverse, welcoming space for locals and visitors.”
The annual contest runs through April 13.
Readers are able to vote once per day.
The winner will be decided based on public vote and announced on April 22.
