GMA’s ’50 State’ tour stops in Pa. to see world’s oldest operating drive-in movie theater

OREFIELD, Pa. (WPVI) — Good Morning America continued its “50 states in 50 weeks” tour in honor of its 50th anniversary with a stop in Orefield, Lehigh County.

Shankweiler’s is the world’s oldest operating drive-in movie theater and has been entertaining people for generations.

GMA’s new series is leading up to the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence next year.

New Jersey will be the next stop on the tour.
