PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Philadelphia police are searching for the gunman who shot a storage facility manager during a robbery on Monday night in the Wissinoming section of the city.
It happened around 7 p.m. at the Good Deal Self Storage facility on the 5400 block of Eadom Street.
Police say the 57-year-old storage facility manager was in an office with a customer when the suspect walked in the front door and forced them to get to their knees behind the counter.
Video reportedly shows the suspect reaching into the cash register before firing four gunshots.
The 57-year-old victim was shot in the shoulder and chest. He was taken to an area hospital in critical condition.
Police say the customer was not injured.
The suspect was seen fleeing on an electric bike or an electric scooter with an unknown amount of money. He was last seen wearing a dark jacket, blue jeans and a light-colored mask covering his entire face.
