Longtime Delaware State Senator Nancy Cook dies

DOVER, Delaware (WPVI) — Nancy Cook, a longtime Delaware State Senator and trailblazer, has died.

Former Governor Jack Markell said Cook was a legend in the First State.

She was the first woman to serve as the chair of the joint finance committee.

The Democrat was a public servant in Delaware for nearly 40 years.

Nancy Cook was 89 years old.
