PITMAN, N.J. (WPVI) — New Jersey officials are investigating a bird flu outbreak.
Large numbers of dead or dying geese have been found at parks across the state, including Gloucester County.
In Pitman, both Betty Park and Alcyon Park are closed after dead geese were discovered.
There are an estimated 50 to 75 cases of suspected bird flu at that location.
Officials are also investigating the possibility of more cases in Sicklerville. A viewer sent us photos of what appear to be dead geese off Mullen Drive.
The avian flu poses little risk to humans.
Authorities plan to reveal more information on Wednesday.
