Northampton County man pleads guilty to shooting, killing wife’s parents

PALMER TWP., Pa. (WPVI) — A Northampton County man has admitted to murdering his in-laws last year at a senior citizen community in Palmer Township, Pennsylvania.

Xiaomin Fei, 34, pleaded guilty on Thursday to murdering Robert and Gretchen Ackerman in June 2025.

Investigators say Fei broke into the Ackermans’ home, where he fatally shot them.

Fei’s wife and their four and five-year-old sons were in the house at the time.

He was sentenced to two life sentences without the possibility of parole.
