PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Philadelphia Police are seeking assistance in solving a murder that remains unsolved five years later.
“Anybody out there who has information regarding the shooting, we could use the help solving this crime,” says Santo Montecalvo, Vice President of the Citizens Crime Commission.
32-year-old Julius Chandler was shot numerous times back on Thursday, March 25, 2021 along the 5200 block of Knox Street in the city’s Germantown section.
He was pronounced dead from his wounds just three minutes later.
“We’re looking for an armed gunman who is seen in video running through streets of Philadelphia shooting at the victim,” says Montecalvo.
Disturbing surveillance video shows the suspect in broad daylight, firing those fatal shots.
You can see that the gunman is dressed in all dark clothing, with his face and head covered.
There is a $20,000 reward that leads to an arrest and conviction in the murder of Julius Chandler.
If you have any information, you’re urged to call police.
