Police investigate fatal stabbing in North Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — A man is dead after a stabbing in North Philadelphia late Saturday night.

Police responded to the 600 block of West Wingohocking Street just after 11:30 p.m.

When they arrived on scene, police found a 61-year-old man lying on the porch of a residence, suffering from multiple stab wounds to his neck.

He was taken to the hospital, where he died shortly after arrival.

Investigators say the victim’s 28-year-old son was arrested at the scene.

According to police, the stabbing stemmed from an argument between the father and son.

The investigation is ongoing.
