PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — A section of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Philadelphia is closed indefinitely for emergency water infrastructure maintenance.
The closure went into effect at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, February 11.
A roughly one-mile stretch of MLK between the Art Museum and Sweet Briar Drive will be closed until further notice.
The Philadelphia Water Department says the emergency work involves the drinking water distribution system, but did not elaborate.
Transit riders should check SEPTA’s website for any possible detours.
