QUAKERTOWN, Pa. (WPVI) — The Quakertown Community School District is facing new turmoil.
The school board voted to accept the resignation of Superintendent Matthew Friedman Tuesday night.
He has been on leave since February 13, which was a week before the anti-ICE protest by students that led to a clash with police and five children arrested.
The reason for his leave and resignation were not disclosed.
Assistant superintendent Lisa Hoffman was named interim in his place.
