PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Emergency crews are on the scene of a small plane crash in the Torresdale section of Philadelphia.
The crash happened around 3:45 p.m. Wednesday near Fluehr Park at Grant and Torresdale avenues.
Chopper 6 video shows the Piper Pilot 100i aircraft smashed into a tree.

Action News has learned two people, including an off-duty officer, were on the plane. Both people were injured in the incident, but there was no immediate word on their conditions.
There was no immediate word on any injuries.
Officials tell Action News the plane took off from Northeast Philadelphia Airport around 3 p.m. and traveled through Bucks and Montgomery counties before going down around 3:41 p.m.
