SOMERS POINT, N.J. (WPVI) — A pre-kindergarten teacher’s aide in South Jersey is accused of sexually assaulting multiple children over a 10-year span, according to prosecutors.
Shaun M. Stebbins, 43, of Somers Point, was arrested Sunday and charged with first-degree aggravated sexual assault of a child under 13, first-degree permitting a child to engage in pornography, and additional related offenses.
The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office says the charges stem from reported incidents involving multiple victims under the age of 13 between 2014 and 2025.
Prosecutors also allege Stebbins created and possessed child sexual abuse material.
Investigators did not release information about where Stebbins met his victims.
Authorities say Stebbins worked as a pre-kindergarten teacher’s aide at Woodbine Elementary School. In an Instagram post last year, the school congratulated him on being named “paraprofessional of the year.”
Action News has reached out to the Woodbine Elementary School for comment, but we have not heard back.
Stebbins is being held at the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
