How Taylor Frankie Paul’s ‘Bachelorette’ Season Ended in Controversy Before It Even Started

Taylor Frankie Paul is grateful for Bachelorette contestant Doug Mason.

One day after ABC confirmed the reality star’s season of The Bachelorette would not debut on March 22 as originally planned, Taylor reacted to a video message from her season 22 suitor expressing well-wishes for her amid the difficult time.

Commenting on a post by a fan who had reshared the San Diego-based ocean lifeguard’s video on March 20, the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star, 31, wrote, “Aw my heart goes out to him. So sweet.”

Doug’s message, posted an hour earlier, was recorded inside his car as he drove to the beach to watch the sunrise.

“Good morning, everybody. In light of everything that’s happened, I’m just sending out prayers to Taylor,” he said in a clip posted to his Instagram Story, “because that was her moment, and her moment was blocked.”

The 28-year-old continued his message by urging others to be kind.
