Teenager with autism missing from Egg Harbor Township

EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, N.J. (WPVI) — Police are searching for a 17-year-old boy with autism who has been missing for more than 24 hours.

The Egg Harbor Township Police Department said Joel Medina walked away from his home near West Jersey Avenue around 3 p.m. Friday and has not been seen since.

Medina was last spotted wearing a plain black T-shirt, black shorts, and red, black, and white Jordan sneakers.

Neighbors have joined officers in the search. Police are urging residents in the area to check their home surveillance cameras and contact the department immediately if they have any information.
