PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Back by popular demand, Tina-The Tina Turner Musical is returning to Philadelphia.
It’s on stage at the Miller Theater from March 10-15.
Darilyn Burtley plays Tina Turner.
“People all over the world love Tina Turner,” says Burtley. “She’s made such a huge impact on this planet.”
She says Tina’s are big shoes to fill.
“I feel challenged every day,” says Burtley.
“To have a legacy that’s so great, so excellent, in my hands, I know I have to do it justice,” she says. “I give it my best, and every day I feel like I grow a little bit.”
This musical follows the highs and lows of Tina Turner’s life and iconic career.
One of the world’s best-selling artists of all time, the late, legendary Turner won 12 Grammy Awards and shattered glass ceilings.
