The Vampire Diaries’ Candice King and The Originals’ Steven Krueger Are Engaged
UPDATE: During a small elopement in Nashville surrounded by friends and family, Candice and Steven tied the knot in February 2026.
As Candice told Vogue in a wedding feature published April 6, “What I’ll always remember is how beautiful that day was.”
“Walking down the aisle in that warm glow of the magic hour felt like our own little secret,” she continued. “Like the rest of the world kept turning in chaos, and we had this small little nook of the world to ourselves. Time slowed down and felt like a love song.”

Candice King and Steven Krueger, who costarred on The Vampire Diaries spinoff The Originals‘ fifth and final season, are engaged.
“A couple of weeks ago @stevenakrueger gave me the best gift of all when he asked me to marry him,” the actress wrote on Instagram May 14. “Thank you for asking me to dance through life with you.”
Candice (formerly known as Candice Accola) also shared photos from the couple’s engagement shoot, which showed her in a white dress and a square-shaped diamond engagement ring as she and Steven, 35, enjoyed cocktails at their “fave” bar Martha My Dear in Nashville.
