WAYNESBORO, Pa. (WPVI) — A woman found herself locked in a car wash in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, for almost an hour after the system malfunctioned and the doors remained resolutely shut.
The claustrophobic mishap was recorded on January 22 by Felicia Sullivan, who told Storyful that she documented the incident in case her car was damaged or she was hurt while she was stuck inside.
The footage shows Sullivan repeatedly pressing emergency buttons and banging on the doors, to no effect.
Sullivan said that she tried everything to get out before resorting to calling the police, who came to the rescue 45 minutes later.
“The owner gave me a bunch of gift cards after the police freed me from the car wash,” she said.
Sullivan said she was not upset at the owner of the car wash.
“Sometimes things happen, but no harm came from my experience,” she said.
