LOS ANGELES — Soon, Nick Wilde, Judy Hopps and Gary De’Snake will be headed to a screen near you!

“Zootopia 2” has found its exclusive streaming platform on Disney+, where you can join the fun and rewatch the wild adventures of Nick and Judy over and over again. The film follows the pair of rookie cops as they team up for an undercover escapade, as they uncover hidden, hiss-torical corners of the animal metropolis.

To celebrate its streaming release, On The Red Carpet spoke with filmmakers Byron Howard (director) and Yvett Merino (producer), along with star Yvette Nicole Brown.

With the film already available on digital platforms, Brown explains that she loves “catching up on” Judy and Nick’s hijinks.

“I feel the burgeoning love story. I’m gonna say it! I’m a shipper. I think Nick and Judy are going to end up together, maybe in ‘Zootopia 7,’ and I’m for it,” she exclaims.

Once the film hits Disney+, Merino is excited for fans to be able to watch “Zootopia” and “Zootopia 2” back-to-back. “Really, our film picks up right after the first film ends, and so, they can just do a whole marathon night with both of them, and get the whole story of Judy and Nick so far.”

Since its release, “Zootopia 2” has become the eighth highest-grossing film ever, grossing $1.85 billion worldwide. It received the BAFTA Award for Best Animated Feature, and is an Academy Award nominee in the same category.

Howard tells us how proud he is of its reception and the fanbase it’s created. “When the film goes out into the world, there’s nothing better that, no matter where you go in the world, someone in that room has seen ‘Zootopia,’ and it’s just a wonderful thing to know that they love that world as much as we do, and there’s a desire for more. It’s a great feeling.”

“Zootopia 2” is available now on digital and hops onto Disney+ March 11. “Zootopia” and “Zootopia+” are already streaming on Disney+.

See if it takes home the Academy Award, LIVE Sunday, March 15 at 7e/4p on ABC and Hulu.
